I know time dulls one's brain, especially if, like any other muscle, it's not exercised with regularity. I like to think I keep my mind pretty active, what with my 8,000 different interests and seemingly weekly new ventures. But it feels like it's going soft.
There's a nifty feature in today's Las Vegas Review-Journal "Neon" section about the Vegas comic book community's growth and development, written by John Przybys. It even includes a not-too-shabby picture of me in my home studio space.
I'm trying to cram in drawing as many of these comic book pages for the final chapter of my anthology serial "Omega" as I can this weekend.
Social media isn't going away, kids. At least, that's what the organizers, presenters and attendees of yesterday's Social Media Marketing 2011 conference at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino strongly believe.
I'm still hard at work finishing the pencils on these pages from "Omega" for Vic Moya to ink. Interestingly, I've spent more time painstakingly rendering these pencils than I ever did doing finished inks for any of the previous chapters. Go figure.
Today's topic suggestion came from my dear friend Geoff Carter, whose city of Seattle is being defended by a legion of self-styled superheroes -- a phenomenon mostly annoying police and making poor use of spandex.
