The next two weeks are gonna be cray-cray (as the kids say? said? no?). In case you hadn’t heard, that alt-rock band I play bass in, MOONBOOTS, is releasing its debut EP on March 4. It’s called MOONBOOTS. Because we’re super creative. Because that is happening, so are a lot of other things. Like what? Ahem:
Friday, Feb. 26: Drummer Ryan Brunty and I will be appearing on KUNV 91.5-FM The Source’s “Playing Favorites,” hosted by bowtie-adorned broadcast legend Nate Tannenbaum. We talk about music, art and other stuff in between playing our favorite songs. The show airs at 7 p.m. You should tune in.
Sunday, Feb. 28: MOONBOOTS will play a short acoustic set at this fun weekly event called Vegas Live Sessions, which takes place (starting this Sunday) at Artifice bar in downtown Las Vegas. We’re playing with Kella Bo Bella and Narratives, two of our favorite local artists, so it should be a fun night. If you can’t make it, the show is also live-streamed on Periscope or something.
Friday, March 4: The EP comes out. Buy it. iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, whatever.
Saturday, March 5: MOONBOOTS will be throwing an EP release party at The Bunkhouse Saloon starting at 8 p.m. We’ll be playing several new songs, with a special guest or two, and will be joined by some of our favorite Las Vegas bands: O WILDLY, The Astaires and The American Weather. Tickets are only $5, and if you show up early enough, you get a free copy of the EP on CD. It’s gonna kinda be a big deal, you should come. It’s also part of BURGER RECORDS REVOLUTION 4, which really just means Burger Records promotes the show on its website along with dozens others taking place around the globe on March 5.
Thursday, March 10: The Neon Reverb Music Festival is coming back to downtown Las Vegas March 10-13, which is very exciting on its own, but made even more exciting by the fact that MOONBOOTS is playing one of the nights! We have no idea where or with whom, but we do know we’ll go on some time around 9 p.m. on March 10. Stay tuned to the Neon Reverb website for updates.
That’s pretty much it for now. Hope to see you at at least one of these events!
