That crazy band of Las Vegas noisemakers I hang out with playing sometimes epic, sometimes silly garage rock, MOONBOOTS, eschewed pedals, amps and comfort zones to sit down for one of Punks in Vegas‘ “Stripped Down Sessions.” It was probably about a month or two ago that we recorded three of our songs, “The Omen,” “Panama,” and “Devil’s Lake,” in a urine-soaked alley behind the Beauty Bar, literally about 8 hours after we had just played at that same venue.
Well, Punks in Vegas finally posted the videos, and they ain’t too shabby. Despite mild hangovers and sleep deprivation, the performances turned out pretty decent (sure, it took us about three or four takes each, but SHHHH). But I’ll let you be the judge:
The next MOONBOOTS show is Nov. 14 at Backstage Bar & Billiards, opening for The Album Leaf. You can buy tickets now, I hear!
